1. How to post ads?

Signing up for an account on Hi Neiba is quick, easy and completely free! You can sign up with your Google, Facebook account or with any valid email address to post your ad. To sign up click on either ”Login” or ”Post your ad” and follow the instructions to post ad. Select the option according to your requirement; Sell something, Post a job vacancy, Look for something – More info ” with “Make the ad more attractive by adding clear & nice images, more details to the description. Also ensure that you pick the right price, which is very important

2. How do I manage my ads?

You can always manage your ads by signing in to your account and clicking on “My Ads”. You can Edit it if needed, make some changes and it will go for review again. You can also Renew, ‘mark as’ Sold and Delete your ad any time you want.

3. Why has my ad been rejected?

All of the ads are reviewed and moderated to a specific guideline. If your ad violates our posting rules it will be rejected. You can read what changes you have to make before the ad can be approved, by referring to the rejection email. Please contact us if you need more information

4. How do I add & verify my number/email?

You can one telephone number/email to your Hi Neiba account. You will get an OTP for verification/email link for each number/email.

 5. Do you charge for ads?

Based on the category of the ad it could either be free or have a listing fee. There could also be limitations on the number of ads that can be posted free of charge.

Go to “Post your ad” and click on “Know your posting allowance”

Signing up for an account on Hi Neiba is quick, easy and completely free! Go the Sign Up tab on the home page and you will be prompted accordingly.

Log in to your account and go to the ‘Settings’ page.

Log in to your account and go to the ‘Settings’ page and enter your existing and new password.

10. What do I do if I have forgotten my password?

Go to the login page and select “Continue with Email” and select ‘Forgot your password?’ link and follow the instructions. This is not applicable for Google and Facebook logins.

11.How long it will take to go live on the site after posting the ad?

It could take anything from a few minutes up to 4 hours from the time the ad was posted.

13. How long do ads stay on Hi Neiba?

Ads are live for 60 days on the site, unless you delete them earlier

14. What can I do to get more responses to my ad?

Clear title with the name of your item and add some appealing words to introduce.
A comparable price is the key, so please do your research before deciding your price.
Description should be informative, detailed and genuine. High-quality images at different angles of your items should be used. Avoid white backgrounds which blend into the background of the platform. Right and direct contact info.

 Get more visibility by boosting your ad on Hi Neiba. Tap on the “Boost this ad” button on the ad & select any Ad Boost option based on your preference. Charges may apply.

 15. What are the options available to boost my ad?

  • Featured Ads – appear in premium positions, ensuring your listing stands out to buyers.
  • Banner ad – feature your ad at the top on the top of the site.
  • Top ad – feature your ad in the 2 large boxes on the top of the page.
  • Bump up – bring your ad to the first page, everyday.
  • Urgent ad – include a tag to your ad.

16. How do I get a shop page for my business?

When you purchase a Membership package from Hi Neiba you will get your own shop page on the site. Learn about Memberships.

17.How do I share Ads on social media?

Go to my ads, click on the ad you want to share, scroll down until you see Facebook/IG/Whatsapp/Email icons, click on a particular icon to share the link.

18. How do I become a “Verified seller”?

“Verified Seller” status is given to Members who are consecutively active on Hi Neiba for 3 or more months, and comply with all the documentation requirements.

19. How do I become an “Authorized Agent”/ “Auth Agent”

21. What is meant by the “Star” mark in Members?

Star mark indicates the “Premium Membership” status

 22. What are the payment methods available?

Via M-Pesa for now.

23. What are the ad posting rules?

  • The item or service should be legal in Kenya
  • The item or service should be offered in Kenya
  • The item or service should be specific
  • Multiple items or services are not allowed
  • Counterfeit goods, knockoffs, or replica versions of another company’s product are not allowed
  • Duplicate ads are not allowed
  • When an ad is deleted, the same cannot be posted for 48 hours
  • Use only valid phone numbers and email addresses
  • Make the pricing realistic
  • Do not use offensive language
  • Do not use offensive pictures
  • Pictures should match the item or service
  • URLs are allowed in the description, only if relevant to the item or service
  • Animal cruelty is not allowed

1. Where can I find the contact number in the ad?

Found an item you like, contact number is shown as a call icon in the ad. This icon is found on the right of the web page and on the bottom left of the Hi Neiba platform.

 2. How can I start a Chat with the seller?

Click on the Chat icon found on the right of the ad appearing on the web page and on the bottom right of the Hi Neiba platform.

3. Do you take advance payments for the items/services listed on the site?

Hi Neiba does not charge for these services. The buyers pay the sellers. We do not encourage any buyers to pay advances or for deliveries for the listed products/services on the site, and Hi Neiba is not liable for any of such payments made.
